ACT Team Completes Cambridge Judge Business School Programme

Join us in celebrating a significant milestone in ACT Medical's journey! We're thrilled to announce our completion of the prestigious Cambridge Judge Business School’s Pre-Accelerate Programme. It's been a brilliant experience and one that has enriched our team with invaluable insights and connections that will propel us forward in our mission.

Over the past three months, ACT’s leadership team have been fully immersed in the dynamic environment of CJBS's startup accelerator. From engaging lectures delivered by industry experts to personalized coaching sessions led by seasoned entrepreneurs, we've soaked up knowledge and grown our network.

The Lectures

Every Monday for the past three months we have had an action packed schedule of lectures covering a broad range of topics, from Accessing Grant Funding to Digital Marketing.

One particular highlight was Mark Kotter’s captivating talk, where he shared his remarkable journey from a university spin-out, to raising over $200 million in less than eight years with bit.bio. Mark's insights underscored the importance of aligning a company’s mission and values—a lesson that resonated deeply with us.

The Coaching

A key benefit of the programme lies in the personalized coaching we received. Under the guidance of our Lead Coach, Tony Kypreos, we delved deep into launch strategies and techniques for gaining market traction. Tony's wealth of experience as an entrepreneur and his authority on corporate innovation, within the Technology and Healthcare sector, have been invaluable in shaping our approach.

We were also fortunate to receive pitching confidence from Babita Devi; validation of our IP strategy from Darren Mitchell; and expert guidance on launching into the US marketplace from David McMahon. Each mentor has left an indelible mark on our journey, equipping us with the tools we need to thrive.

Joe embraced the coaching on pitching confidence and content, skilfully putting it into action and ultimately triumphing in the Pitch and Judge session 5.

The Growth

As we reflect on our time in the accelerator programme, it's clear that we've undergone significant growth. Not only have we deepened our understanding of business fundamentals, but we've also forged strong connections within the Cambridge ecosystem. These connections are vital to innovation, and we're excited to leverage them as we continue to grow.

In conclusion, our participation in Cambridge Judge Business School’s Pre-Accelerate Programme has been an excellent experience for the team. As we move forward into the next phase of our journey, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement for what lies ahead.
